The American TV Show - Elementary

The British version - Sherlock
British TV show, produced by the BBC starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as John Watson.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984) TV Show
despite the fact that they are all based on the same books all of them are different.
Take the TV newer shows as an example:
British TV show, produced by the BBC starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as John Watson.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1984) TV Show
the first TV adaptation of the books (presumably), starring Jeremy Brett and David Burke - he left after a year and was replaced by Edward Hardwicke.
despite the fact that they are all based on the same books all of them are different.
Take the TV newer shows as an example:
The British one:
Its set in England
Watson isn't a doctor
Stick with the traditional idea that Watson is a guy
The American One:
Set in America
Watson is a girl
Watson is a doctor
the main thing that they have in common is that they are both set in the present and are modern takes, whereas the films are based in the Victorian Era, but the films are still different to each other. for example the 1970 and 1991 films both have Sherlock wearing his iconic Deer hunting hat but the two more modern films don't.
