Editing Pictures For our Film Poster
Here's the original photo before I start editing it.
I then Decreased the shadows by 12% to add some contrast.
The next thing I did was to remove the red eyes
The main idea i have for our posters is to show our hobbies or dreams through them. So for example with Lucy's I might focus on her love of art and the 80's. If i used her love of art as inspiration I'd use the Posterize effect on her to make her look like a painting or if i focus on her love of 80's music I might make her poster either look like an album cover from one of her favourite bands e.g. The Police
Using this idea I have some options of what effects i might use on my own poster. For example I want to take a gap year and see the world so I might add a scrap paper effect and use one that looks like the paper you'd expect an old map to be drawn on in an adventure film like Indiana Jones.
Or I might focus on my love of drama and use a spot light effect
but on the other hand i could make both of our portrait shots black and white to show how monotone and repetitive school is
Sticking with the theme of school i've gone on to add a focal soften effect which makes the picture blurry. this will represent how repetitive school is, slowly everything starts to blur together and you lose focus of your goals and get tunnel vision - eventually you stop being able to think outside of the box and become exhausted.
Adding a focal zoom intensifies this effect.
